BACKGROUND & HISTORY: Alex grew up in Southern California for the most part, raised completely alone by her Siren mother who felt that men would be a detriment when it came to growing into herself and her powers. Her mother moved with her back to Siren Cove when she was 15, having grown up there originally and knowing that it would be a lot easier for Alex to find other Sirens to bond with there. She never really paid attention in school, getting slightly above average grades without trying. Instead, she focused on establishing a <i>very</i> healthy social life. Her mother openly encouraged her to manipulate and seduce people to get what she wanted and that has stuck with her all through her life.
PERSONALITY: Alex is... strange. She enjoys causing trouble and getting other people into uncomfortable situations, especially men. If it was still olden times and she could get away with it, she'd be at the forefront of singing on rocks and luring sailors to their deaths. Unfortunately, she can't, so she chooses to get men in trouble with their partners instead. She loves the thrill of the chase and would spend every evening at the bar trying to seduce anyone she finds hot if she could. She finds it easy to make friends, though keeping them is another matter. Her caustic personality and refined sense of snark has driven many a friend to edge away uncomfortably and delete her number from their phones.
OPINION OF THE RIVALRY: She knows all about it from her mother and doesn't really care who wins either way. If shit goes down, she'll work to cause trouble on both sides, only eventually siding with whichever family seems to be winning.
LIFESTYLE: Alex works as a secretary at the police station, never having revealed her heritage to anyone outside of the Siren community. No one's exactly sure how she got the job, since she doesn't have the education for it, but she does a good job. Especially for someone who spends half her time snarking at the officers and causing trouble. She has a modest apartment downtown, paid off in full by her mother when she moved into it, and mostly uses her money to fill up an extensive wardrobe and to feed her shoe addiction. When at work, she downplays her beauty a lot, wearing glasses instead of contacts, minimal makeup, dressing in sweaters and jeans, and pulling her hair into simple styles. Outside of work, she vamps it up with proper makeup and cute dresses (or short shorts and frilly tanks if she's just spending time around town.) If asked to describe her sexuality, Alex would probably answer 'Want to find out firsthand?'. Basically, she's open to anything. She enjoys flings and isn't likely to get into a proper relationship any time soon, especially not with a man.
HUMAN, WITCH, OR SIREN: Siren. She keeps it low key so that no one outside of the actual community knows she's anything but a baseline human. She has all the usual siren powers: flawless singing voice, expert at seduction and persuasion, aquatic form and the ability to stay underwater almost indefinitely if she really wants to.

-Alex never seems to do anything at work, other than pissing James off and being snarky with Grant, and yet all of the paperwork she does is perfect and handed in relatively on time

The Search For James - James and Moira have gone missing and Alex and Grant are on the case. In their own special way that involves lots of Starbucks runs and black leather jackets.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Grant Middleton - Her bff and the Clinton to her Stacey. She's got a bad habit of smacking his butt whenever it's within her reach. They get incredibly sassy together, even towards each other, and REALLY enjoy making James uncomfortable together.
James Thornton - Her other bff and her big brother figure. She knows he's a little over protective with her and she takes a lot of pleasure in describing her various bedroom adventures near him, just to watch him freak out. She'd do anything to protect him and Grant.
Bach Jones - A newly found flirting buddy (possibly bedroom buddy)
